The Withlacoochee River, one of Florida's finest touring rivers. It is approx. 100 miles from the head waters in the Green Swamp to the Salt waters of the Gulf Of Mexico. With 84 miles of good canoeing and kayaking for your pleasure.

The Withlacoochee River twist and turns on it's journey to the Gulf Of Mexico through the Cypress Swamps, and Hardwood forest.

It's scenic beauty must be seen to be enjoyed. It is truely untouched nature at her best.

This tree was in the Green Swamp Area.

 This  photo shows an average size man standing next to a large Cypress tree.

      These large Cypress trees where loaded on railcars and brought to the mill from deep in the Green Swamp. Note the man next to the railcar. This shows how big these Cypress trees were. These big Cypress trees no longer exist in the area. There are plenty of Cypress and they are big, but none like the two above.

The Withlacoochee State Trail is just minutes away. Other sites to see are the Pioneer museum in Dade City.

      Just minutes from Bush Gardens in Tampa, and Disney World in Orlando.
